Find your
perfect tires
BFGoodrich All-Terrain T / A KO2 is an all-season tire with increased rigidity, which is positioned by the manufacturer as well as a reliable winter tire. Designed to meet the needs of jeep and pickup truck owners who want to be sure of their safety while driving at any time of the year. This high-strength model offers excellent all-season traction on any road and long service life.
Tires BFGoodrich All-Terrain T / A KO2 are manufactured according to the technology of racing off-road tires, so it is not at all surprising that the “chip” of this model is its high durability. Thanks to the proprietary CoreGuard technology, the all-terrain model of the second generation perfectly resists various kinds of damage (including impacts and cuts) that can cause tire delamination.
This model uses COREGUARD technology, carried over from the BFGoodrich Baja T / A KR2 rally-raid racing tires, and makes the tire more durable. The essence of this technology lies in the increased thickness of the sidewalls and the use of a special compound in its manufacture, which is characterized by increased resistance to any mechanical stress and reduces practically to zero the possibility of pinching, which can cause tire rupture.
To prove this, the manufacturer even experimented, throwing an All-Terrain T / A KO2 from a height of 2 miles onto the rocky terrain of the North American state of Utah.
After landing, the tire was installed on a waiting “three-wheeled” SUV, which after a forced pit stop calmly continued its confident movement over rough terrain. Not surprisingly, BFG is now boldly claiming to be the toughest of all off-road tires.
But the point, as you know, is not only about technology. For example, sidewall damage is prevented by using an additional layer of rubber compound, as well as by powerful shoulder blocks designed to repel objects that can damage the integrity of the tire.
Features of the structure of All-Terrain T / A KO2
The high durability of the BFGoodrich All-Terrain TA KO2 is due, among other things, to the optimized tread design. It provides not only good endurance of the tire on a gravel road, but also even distribution of pressure over the contact patch, and, consequently, even wear of the tread, and long-term operation of the tire.
Advanced repulsive design
The good cross-country ability of this aggressive all-season model is ensured by the features of the tread structure. So, large interconnected blocks of the central part help the tire to quickly self-clean from water and dirt in the contact patch, thereby guaranteeing the stability of the tire’s performance properties and the safety of directional stability. Self-locking sipes applied to the surface of these blocks increase traction in the snow. Lateral “serrated” lugs improve maneuverability in rocky terrain, deep snow, and mud.
Tire and Rubber Industry Association of Canada TRAC confirms that the BFG All-Terrain T / A KO2 meets all requirements for tires designed for severe winter. According to its data, the previous model * of the line loses against its background. The second-generation model has a 19% increase in grip on snow, but in mud, this indicator “grew” by 10%.
“Winter” marking
Last but not least, the All-Terrain T / A KO 2 rubber compound also contributes to the overall durability of the model, as it was borrowed from the Baja T / A KR2 off-road tire, which has repeatedly brought victory to the participants of the famous Baja 500 race.
Perhaps the only drawback of the BFGoodrich All-Terrain T / A KO2 is the fuel “gluttony” of the model, however, almost all all-terrain tires sin this, and this fact should not be very surprised. There are no ideal tires in the world, and manufacturers always sacrifice some indicators to “extol” the most significant ones.
Reinforced sidewall construction
Like the previous generation tire, this model is equipped with reinforced sidewalls. But in this case, its rigidity has been further increased thanks to the use of CoreGuard technology. It has previously proven itself successfully on racing tires. Its essence lies in the increased thickness of the sidewalls and the use of a special compound in its manufacture, characterized by increased resistance to any mechanical stress.
Longer service life even off-road
As you know, one of the “signature” features of BFGoodrich off-road tires is their excellent endurance even in the most difficult operating conditions. In this regard, this model is not only no exception but also manifests this property more clearly. This was achieved due to several technical solutions at once. One of them is a significant increase in the tread width, due to which the load on the contact patch is more evenly distributed, thereby reducing the likelihood of uneven wear. This feature is further enhanced by the optimized shape, size, and https://www.redstarvapor.com/zolpidem-ambien/ position of the blocks. In addition, there are special elements in the grooves between them that prevent stones from getting stuck, which also helps to increase the life of the tire.
Excellent traction and grip on any surface
The tread pattern of this tire is replete with numerous blocks, which, to achieve excellent performance on any type of surface, have a complex configuration. The significant height of these elements and the location at a great distance from each other improve the traction characteristics on earthy soils with high moisture content.
In turn, the aggressive design of the shoulder areas, some of which are located on the sidewalls, provides the tire with confident behavior on rocky surfaces. In addition, the staggered block arrangement and numerous 3D sipes allow the tire to demonstrate a good grip on icy and snowy roads.
Main features of the BFGoodrich All-Terrain T / A KO2 tire
- Reinforced sidewalls made of a compound resistant to mechanical stress provide reliable protection on the road;
- Long service life and reliability in operation even in the most difficult conditions are provided by a very strong carcass, wear-resistant rubber compound, and increased tread width;
- Excellent performance on all types of surfaces, thanks to an optimized open design containing a large number of staggered polygonal blocks.
COREGARD TECHNOLOGY FOR GREATER STRENGTH
- The increased thickness of the rubber compound in the sidewalls allows for greater strength.
- Unique massive blocks, located in the shoulder area and passing to the tire sidewall, resist damage to the most vulnerable areas.
TECHNOLOGIES TO IMPROVE WEAR RESISTANCE
- The new rubber compound reduces the level of abrasive wear when driving on aggressive rocky surfaces.
- Optimal pressure distribution in the contact patch ensures long-term and even tire wear on asphalt surfaces.
TECHNOLOGIES FOR HIGH PERFORMANCE
- Shoulder block walls improve traction on rocky and muddy surfaces, especially when riding under reduced pressure, and variable block spacing provides better maneuverability and flotation.
- Additional splitters between the blocks prevent the “blurring effect” of the tread.
SPECIAL TIRE DESIGN ALLOWS MOVEMENT WITH VERY LOW PRESSURE
On the BFGoodrich All-Terrain KO2 tire, it is possible to reduce the pressure down to 0.5 bar. Lowering the pressure improves cross-country ability in difficult soft off-road conditions (sand, swamp, loose soil).

- Design features a bias frame.
- Maximum speed: 95 mph.
- Maximum wheel load: 6500 lb.
- Manufacturer’s warranty: up to 65 thousand miles of the run.
About the manufacturer and technologies
The Chinese company Goodride Tire is today deservedly considered one of the largest Asian car tire manufacturers. Moreover, Goodride Tire is one of the twenty largest tire manufacturers in the world. And, of course, such a manufacturer has sufficient funds to apply the most advanced technologies in the production of his entire range of products.
The most stringent quality control has been implemented at the production facilities of Goodride Tire.
Operational Benefits
To understand whether these tires are needed or not, you need to compare their advantages and disadvantages. Let’s start with the advantages, of which there are quite a few.
- Acceptable cost. Perhaps this is one of the most important advantages since freight carriers deliberately come to buy Chinese tires in the hope of an affordable price. These tires will cost less than most similarly rated all-season tires.
- Durability. As already mentioned, the manufacturer gives a guarantee for its tires up to 65 thousand miles of the run. Isn’t this a confirmation of longevity?
- Reliability. The CL 956 tires, thanks to their construction and applied manufacturing materials, demonstrate high abrasion resistance and equally high resistance to tears and cuts. As a result, when buying these tires, you can be sure that they will not cause unplanned downtime in the vehicle.
- Fuel economy. Like all Goodride Tire truck tires, the CL 956 is well balanced and therefore non-obstructive. As a result, the car uses less fuel when driving on highways with good coverage. The average savings with a loaded trailer are 10-15%. This is a significant saving, taking into account the average length of the main cargo transportation.
- High directional stability. This is another very important advantage since when driving in a straight line, the truck and trailer on these tires will not be sideways. Of course, this advantage is relevant if the chassis of the truck is in good working order. This advantage will surely be appreciated by many truck drivers because on a long trip, hands get tired from constant steering.
- Good grip regardless of the season. Many tires on sale are marketed as all-season tires, but they are not. In the case of the CL 956, things are different – these tires are truly all-season and all-weather. The CL 956’s tread provides excellent grip on dry, wet, and even snow. And the grip is excellent https://prixz.com/salud/buy-tramadol/ both on a laden and on an empty truck.
- Low noise indicators. Understandably, truck tire noise is not the biggest drawback. However, the quiet tires provide additional driver comfort as the cab is quieter.
- Self-cleaning function. Oddly enough, but small stones get stuck in the tire tread both when driving off-road and on asphalt. And if the stones are not removed from the tread grooves promptly, they will gradually begin to destroy the rubber. Given the above, we note that in modern Goodride Tire truck tires, small stones do not linger and are thrown out under the action of centrifugal force. As a result, the tread is cleaner and the tire is more intact.
- Aquaplaning warning functions. CL 956, due to a special tread pattern, effectively removes water from the road contact patch. As a result, a truck with a trailer, even when unloaded, is not prone to skidding on a wet road. This is an obvious advantage if the truck is used for off-season trucking.
- Shortening the braking distance of the vehicle. By providing excellent traction, the CL 956 can significantly reduce stopping distances. It will be possible to shorten the braking distance as much as possible if the CL 956 tires are installed not only on the tractor but also on the trailer.
Disadvantages
Actually, can there be any drawbacks in tires that are of better quality and cheaper than similar products from other Chinese manufacturers? As such, there are no shortcomings in operation.
The only inconvenience can be caused by the fact that there are not yet official dealers of Goodride Tire in every country. Therefore, you may have to buy these tires from random resellers and therefore the price will be less affordable.
About design features
What makes these tires strong, reliable, and durable? Of course, the construction and partly the used production materials.
CL 956 is a modern and technologically advanced tire, but despite this, their construction uses a radial carcass. This is no coincidence, since the radial casing, even though the technology is old, provides a higher tire strength in comparison with those models where the bias cage is used. The use of a radial carcass is the optimal solution, as this basis allows the tires to withstand heavy weight loads without compromising their integrity of the tires.
The radial carcass itself is a reliable base for the tire, but this is not enough. Therefore, all-metal belts run along the central rib – the working surface with which the tire contacts the road. The use of metal belts not only makes the tire stronger but also ensures its uniform pressure to the road over the entire area of the contact patch. Thanks to the uniform pressure, the tire tread wears off evenly. As a result, the tire will last longer than most other Chinese all-season tires.
Manufacturing materials
As already mentioned, the strength of truck tires, in particular the CL 956, is provided by the design, but the driving performance is entirely due to the production materials from which the tread is molded. For these purposes, a thermosetting rubber compound is used here. In short, this is a rubber that does not harden at subzero temperatures and does not soften in heat. And it is the tread made of this material that makes the tire truly all-weather.
Let’s summarize
There are many tires for mainline trucks on the market. But if you are looking for a truly versatile rubber with good handling characteristics and an affordable price, then the Goodride CL 956 is your choice.
Interco BOGGER UTV – 1st place in off-road tests
The most extreme rubber for mud and swamps deservedly won first place among the huge variety of mud tires. Needless to say, the Interco BOGGER UTV is the best tire for the swamp. About company
The post-war years, thanks to the unsaturation of the market, served as the impetus for the founding of many American companies. This includes the Interco Tire Corporation.
- Founded in 1947 in Louisiana.
- At first, the main activity of the company was the retail sale of car tires.
- It first established itself as a tire manufacturer only in 1968, when it launched the first model of its tires for pickup trucks and light trucks. Thus, he founded the 78 series of tires.
- Is the only privately-owned company in the tire industry with wholly-owned shares.
- Holds a leading position in the http://bringitusa.com/tramadol/ development and production of tires for pickups and SUVs not only in the United States but also in the world.
- In addition, Interco produces a whole series of tires for extreme moto and jeepers, as well as for various agricultural machinery.
- The imprint of the Super Swamper tread pattern can be found not only on off-road tracks all over the world but also on T-shirts and T-shirts of fans and professionals of many famous off-road athletes. This drawing has become an unspoken symbol among extreme car enthusiasts all over the planet.
Overall, the tread pattern of these tires is not beyond reason. Because the most “Off-road” lovers of mud, clay, swamps ride on BOGGER UTVs – this is kind of “overkill”.
- About 80% of all sporting off-road vehicles are equipped with this brand of tires.
Tire features
At the first accidental glance of a professional at Interco BOGGER UTV, it immediately becomes clear to him that this tire is not for the city. It was created by the manufacturer as a professional sports rubber for off-road tracks.
The exterior design of this tire should be given credit. He’s pretty aggressive.
Tread
The tread has no central ribs. In this case, the side zones are entirely composed of large, separately located parts. Each of the side tread blocks consists of two larger ones, partly reaching almost to the tire profile, and three smaller parts of different lengths. Moreover, each of these “pieces” closer to the middle of the tire has a directional bend.
Thanks to this arrangement, the tread allows you to easily overcome swampy areas and get out of almost any track. In addition, this arrangement of the tread elements provides a high level of self-cleaning of the tire.
The sides are reinforced with several layers of cord. The tire material is elastic. Due to this, even with a high degree of inclination of the surface, the contact area of the tire with the road remains maximum.
Off-road tests
During the races, Interco BOGGER UTV was in the lead on almost all off-road surfaces. Slightly inferior to competitors when driving on large wet rocks along the river. Sometimes I had to steer.
At the same time, it is not at all for driving on asphalt. It is very noisy and after ten kilometers of such a path, it is almost impossible to balance it.
In the swamp
Good on all off-road, but especially loves moisture. Through the swamp “rushing like a tank” and climbs out of any hole. The only thing missing is the shoulder lugs. And therefore it can slide a little. We have to “pull” the steering wheel a little to the side.
On the ice “like a cow.” Scary even at 40 mph. But he loves clay. Kneads it so that a pound of pieces of clay fly to the side.
A heavy tire and so “aggressive” that at high revs it can break even a reinforced suspension.
One fan of this rubber said that for the wedding anniversary he would buy a diamond ring for his wife and “diamond” tires for himself. He meant Interco BOGGER UTV.
Reviews
Even for our extreme lovers, this tire is cult. And almost all the reviews are positive.
It is noted that this rubber model is highly specialized and is not at all suitable for driving on the highway. At a speed of about a hundred, the ATV begins to shake “like an earthquake.” After such a ride, the tires simply “flatten” and cannot be balanced. Therefore, the air must be vented to 1.3 in the wheels.

Final thoughts.
Briefly, about Interco Tire Corporation, that’s probably all. In my opinion, Interco rightfully deserves the title of “Legendary” and “Company No. 1” for the production of off-road rubber for the whole world, and there is evidence of this.
For the majority of Jeepers around the world, Interco products have become the benchmark to which you approach as you develop professionally. You can debate as much as you like on the topic: “which tires are better?”, Conduct experiments. As a result, all the paths will lead you to the products of the Interco Tire Corporation. When you realize that you need Interka, it is a matter of time. For me, this path was three years.
GTH100
In this review, we will talk about the Green Max GTH100, a modern, technologically advanced trailer tire. Ask why this particular model, because there are more than enough trailer tires on sale? There is a good reason – these tires demonstrate the best combination of price and quality. Believe me, few tires with a similar cost can offer something like this.
About the brand and manufacturer
The Green Max brand was created by the Chinese company Shandong Linglong Tire Co. The creation of this brand is due to the desire of Linglong Tire to attract a Western buyer.
Linglong Tire is well known in Asian countries, which is not surprising, since it is one of the 5 largest Chinese tire manufacturers. But in same Western Europe, the average buyer knows almost nothing about this manufacturer. But the Green Max brand is in tune with Western brands and inspires more confidence.
However, the Green Max brand was not created to mislead the Western buyer. Together with the Western name, the Chinese manufacturer has provided a truly high level of quality for the entire range of tires produced under the Green Max brand and the GTH100 model is no exception.

What makes tires last
The Green Max GTH100 is a truly durable tire, despite the hefty operating stresses found in passenger-and-freight transport. Durability is ensured by the design features of tires and the technologies used in their production.
The most negative effect on main trailer tires is tread wear and rubber overheating from friction with the road surface. How were these problems solved in Green Max tires?
To compensate for overheating of the tread, the tires use a radial carcass made of more metal fibers than most other tires. The carcass absorbs most of the excess tread temperature. The heated carcass then releases the temperature into the air cavity of the tire, where the heat is dissipated. Also, all-metal longitudinal belts running along the entire central rib contribute to more https://badgerherald.com/valium/ efficient heat dissipation. Reinforcement of all-metal belts not only strengthens the tire but also ensures uniform pressure of the tread to the road. Due to the uniform pressure on the road, the tread wears evenly. Since the tread wears evenly, it takes longer than usual to fully wear out.
To compensate for abrasion of trailer tires, a special rubber compound is used when casting the tread, which is equally dense in both cold and hot weather. As a result, in the heat, the tire vice-rector does not soften more than necessary and does not wear out as quickly as the tread of most other all-season tires. Again, in the cold, these tires do not harden more than necessary, and therefore do not crack or collapse.
By the way, Green Max GTH100 tires are not only durable but also environmentally friendly. As the critical wear of the tread occurs, the tires are subject to processing and restoration. Of course, this advantage is relevant only if somewhere in the immediate vicinity there are enterprises engaged in the processing and restoration of used tires.
What provides excellent performance.
The performance of Green Max GTH100 tires is largely dependent on the tread design and the rubber compound used in production. The tread pattern here is standard for most good trailer tires designed for the long haul.
The pattern is represented by pronounced longitudinal grooves, which provide acceptable directional stability when the trailer moves in a straight line and does not yaw from side to side. Again, the longitudinal grooves are fully responsible for the effective removal of water from the contact patch with the road. This measure eliminates the possibility of aquaplaning, which simplifies the work of the driver and at the same time ensures traffic safety on public roads.
How tires save fuel
Did you know that tires can be energy efficient? The ability to save energy lies in the reduction of rolling resistance. And this ability in different tires is achieved by all available means.
For example, the Green Max GTH100 tires use a special carcass, which, on the one hand, improves the acceleration dynamics needed by a truck with a trailer to develop cruising speed. In addition, First, the tires use metal longitudinal belts, which, on the one hand, strengthen this entire structure, and on the other hand, make it more balanced, which again reduces rolling resistance.
And finally, the Green Max GTH100 tires use a special rubber compound, which, in combination with a smooth tread without pronounced transverse sipes, minimizes rolling resistance. Well, the lower the rolling resistance of trailer tires, the easier it is for the tractor to pull this trailer, and therefore less fuel will be used.
By the way, due to lower rolling resistance, the likelihood of tire overheating is reduced and this is a significant advantage!
Compared to conventional all-weather tires, the Green Max GTH100 has a drag coefficient that is about 40% lower with a difference in fuel consumption of about 12%. It would seem a little, but in reality, such a difference will save every 8 liters of fuel. Taking into account the length of routes of main cargo transportation, the savings are at least substantial. In addition, according to statistics compiled by Linglong Tire analysts, the economical Green Max GTH100 tires on average pay for themselves after 3 and a half years of operation.
An important point: representatives of the Green Max brand directly indicate that maximum savings will be achieved only if economy tires manufactured by Linglong Tire are installed on all wheels.
The benefits of energy-efficient tires for commercial vehicles are obvious, but there is also a downside. Typically, economy tires made by Western brands cost about 1.5 times more than conventional tires. However, as already mentioned, Green Max is the brand under which affordable tires are sold. So while others are selling economical but expensive tires, you might want to consider the Green Max GTH100 economy tires, which are also practical.
Overview of customer reviews
Today, reviews can be found literally on every product, whether it is food, clothing, or, for example, Chinese tires. And the Green Max GTH100 is no exception – these tires are bought and talked about on the relevant forums.
We analyzed dozens of reviews and made several conclusions. First of all, people like the price of Green Max tires. Moreover, today buyers are less and less confused by the Chinese origin of these tires. The second positive point that many buyers note is durability.
Green Max GTH100 will last much longer than many of the more popular tires. And the characteristic durable, about Chinese tires, is already somewhat surprising. And of course, all buyers note excellent directional stability, which, in principle, is not surprising, since this quality is a characteristic difference between this tire model and most other tires.
GDH102
The market is full of spare parts and components made in China. And truck tires are no exception – there are a lot of them. But I must say that these tires are not always associated with high-quality workmanship. However, there is also a pleasant exception – these are tires manufactured by Linglong Tire. And it is these tires that we will talk about in this short review.
Rebranding to attract buyers
Shandong Linglong Tire Co., Ltd is one of the largest tire manufacturers in China. But in Western countries, this manufacturer is still not very popular. To get closer to the European consumer, Linglong Tire has established several to make these products “not Chinese” at all, Linglong Tire moved the production facilities of the Green Max brand to the territory of neighboring Taiwan.
The name Green Max, in contrast to Linglong Tire, sounds Western. Again, the level of quality of products presented under this brand is consistently high. As a result, Linglong Tire tires sold under the Green Max brand are becoming more and more popular outside of China. And to make these products “not Chinese” at all, Linglong Tire moved the production facilities of the Green Max brand to the territory of neighboring Taiwan.
But, despite the rearrangements and rebranding, the tires that you can buy today under the Green Max brand are in no way inferior in quality to similar tires produced in Western European countries.

Design and application features
The operation of tires is largely determined by their design features. As already mentioned, Green Max GDH102 is a tire specially designed for the drive axle of long-distance trucks. To ensure the required performance characteristics, the central rib of the tire is doubled and practically https://riverpalm.com/phentermine-online/ corresponds to the width of a standard twin. That is, these tires can replace the standard pair of tires that are mounted on two separate rims.
Taking into account the increased width of the central rib, the manufacturer took care of ensuring sufficient strength of the entire structure. So, for example, a radial weave frame is used in the tires. Radial construction itself is not uncommon and is used in many tires, but in the Green Max GDH102 model, the carcass threads are tighter to each other. Due to this, the mass of the tire has slightly increased, but at the same time, the strength has increased.
The special braiding of metal threads in the radial carcass, among other things, ensures better heat dissipation, which ultimately eliminates the possibility of tire overheating. In addition to the fact that the radial carcass of the tires itself is very strong, it is additionally reinforced with metal belts over the entire area of the central rib.
Longitudinal metal strips are a common Linglong Tire tradition. But in the Green Max GDH102 model, due to the increased width of the tire, the longitudinal belts pass not only in the area of reinforcement of the shoulder zones many Chinese tires cost less. But it should be borne in mind that the tires sold under the Green Max brand, in terms of quality and performance, are quite consistent with European tires presented in the mid-price segment.
In addition, the reinforced center rib ensures uniform wear on the outside and inside of the tread. Considering that the tire is large and tubeless, the manufacturer has taken care of sufficient strength of the bead rings. As a result, stronger rings press the tire against the rim even more tightly, eliminating the possibility of sudden depressurization.
Trunk tire tread
The tread of all leading tires is designed to provide optimal grip and, as a result, improved traction. It’s no secret that grip is determined by the tread pattern and design. Linglong Tire in Green Max GDH102 tires did not repeat the traditional tread design patterns and used a completely new, and importantly, more efficient pattern.
The shoulder tread areas are generally smooth with small, barely pronounced lugs along the edge. But the entire central rib, which is in direct contact with the road, is covered with a network of grooves that form a complex honeycomb pattern. However, something suggests that the engineers involved in the development of the tread were guided by considerations of attractive design in the last place.
The fancy tread pattern is primarily designed to provide traction and to channel water away from the tire’s contact patch. Again, the cells that form the honeycomb provide equally good traction regardless of the direction of rotation of the wheel. This is important for both vehicle acceleration and braking.
Advantages and disadvantages
The buyer can get the right impression of tires only after familiarizing himself with their advantages and disadvantages.

General TRACTOR V.PLY
Regional cargo transportation is vital for the normal functioning of small and medium-sized businesses. The efficiency and speed of such cargo transportation to a large extent depends on how correctly the tires are selected. In this review, we will recommend good tires for regional trucking and tell you why we recommend these tires.
About regional and urban cargo transportation
With urban transportation, everything is clear – it is the transportation of goods within the city. With regional cargo transportation, everything is also not very difficult, this is intercity transportation with a range of no more than 125 miles. Now try to answer the question, which tires are more exposed to wear on urban and regional routes or on long-distance routes?
Many will say that tires wear out more on long-haul trucks – still, it’s so far to go there! In fact, on regional and especially urban cargo transportation, tires wear out much faster and special requirements are imposed on the strength of such tires. To make it clear where the increased wear of rubber comes from, imagine that a truck on long-distance transportation travels tens of miles without stopping. Again, most of this path is straight.
Now imagine what happens to the bus while driving around the city or between nearby settlements. You constantly have to slow down and start again at traffic lights or in busy traffic. Again, let’s not forget about the corners where the sidewalls of the tires deteriorate.
So, urban and regional trucking requires particularly durable tires, unless, of course, the carrier does not want to change them too often. And, of course, such tires should be especially effective at the start and during braking. As you probably already guessed from the name, General TRACTOR V.PLY tires meet all these requirements.
About tires in general
The General TRACTOR V.PLY is an all-season tubeless tire designed for urban use and short-distance transport. The tire is designed to be mounted on the drive wheels, that is, on the rear axles. Tires can be used on single and double discs. General TRACTOR V.PLY tires are designed for use on asphalt, concrete, and unpaved road surfaces. The tire has numerous operational advantages with almost no disadvantages.
General TRACTOR V.PLY advantages
- Durability due to increased tread https://www.sportingpost.co.za/phentermine/ resistance to abrasion. The tire will last at least 1.5 times longer than tires from other manufacturers. The manufacturer warrants its tires for 65,000 miles. Agree, this mileage is quite enough to fully recoup the cost of these tires.
- Strength of tires and resistance to mechanical deformation. The General TRACTOR V.PLY features reinforced sidewalls. This ensures that the tire is not damaged when hitting curbs. Thanks to the reinforced center rib, the tire is not afraid of hitting obstacles such as speed bumps and other uneven road surfaces.
- Excellent grip regardless of weather conditions. This has a positive effect on the braking distance. In addition, the improved grip allows the truck to start more efficiently with virtually no slippage.
- Fuel economy. It must be said that this advantage is characteristic of most of the modern tires manufactured by General Tire. Fuel savings are achieved by lowering rolling resistance.
- Self-cleaning function helps to remove stones and dirt from the tread grooves. Thanks to the special design of the tread grooves, the mud falls out even at low travel speeds.
- Optimal combination of price and quality. General Tire produces tires presented in the middle price segment, while the quality level of the same General TRACTOR V.PLY corresponds to the quality level of tires in the premium price segment.
As already mentioned, the tire has no particular drawbacks. However, you need to understand that the General TRACTOR V.PLY is an all-season tire and still does not compare to winter tires. Therefore, in severe icy conditions, we recommend supplementing such tires with chains that can improve traction and prevent slippage.
What are these tires made of?
Primarily, the benefits of using tires are attributed to the materials of manufacture. For the manufacture of General TRACTOR V.PLY tires, high-density rubber is used with the addition of composite and silica fillers. Fillers are primarily used to provide additional grip on the road surface. Silica fillers in the construction of the tiring work as a micro-abrasive and it is because of this that the tire has better braking performance on the ice. However, we draw your attention to the fact that no fillers in all-season tires can replace specialized winter tires.
Design features
General TRACTOR V.PLY is a modern tire, which, like all General Tire products, consists of several layers, each of which is responsible for a particular function.
The layer that is in direct contact with the road is the tread, that is, the working layer created from a special compound that is durable and elastic at the same time. The second layer is a mixture of rubber and latex on which the tread blocks are fixed. The third layer – reinforcing is rubber, into which metal belts are melted.
The task of these belts is to ensure uniform contact of the tire with the road surface. Only in this case will the tire tread wear evenly, which, in turn, will extend the tire life without the need for frequent replacement. The fourth layer is rubber with interwoven wire reinforcement. Finally, the fifth inner layer ensures the tightness of the tire. The tire is equipped with a steel cord around the inner radius, which provides sufficient pressure on the rim.
Tread pattern
The tread uses massive blocks, separated by wide grooves. The grooves on the one hand function as hooks, and on the other hand ensure effective water drainage. In part, the presence of these grooves allows the car to start without slipping even in bad weather. Like most modern tires manufactured by General Tire, General TRACTOR V.PLY tires clean themselves of adhering dirt. This is an important advantage if cargo transportation takes place not only on asphalt but also on unpaved surfaces.
Compatibility with other tires
As already mentioned, General TRACTOR V.PLY tires are designed to be installed on drive wheels, that is, on those axles to which torque is transmitted from the engine. Of course, these tires can also be fitted to the steering wheels. But in this case, General TRACTOR V.PLY tires will not demonstrate all their capabilities.
General TRACTOR V.PLY tires are compatible with all matching steering tires. However, the best handling is achieved by combining General TRACTOR V.PLY tires with General Tire steering tires. For example, a combination of General TRACTOR V.PLY and General HS tires provides optimum performance. General TRACTOR V.PLY tires are primarily intended for the US and Canadian markets. However, there are enough sizes in the brand’s product range for use on non-US vehicles.
Let’s summarize
Sometimes choosing and purchasing durable tires for commercial vehicles is not easy, despite the fact that the range is large. That is why we advise you to pay attention to General Tire tires and in particular to General TRACTOR V.PLY leading truck tires. Again, let’s not forget that these tires demonstrate the optimal combination of high quality and affordable price. Therefore, we recommend them!

About the Grabber AT3 design
The appearance of high-speed and powerful crossovers on public roads requires special new tires. Such tires, due to their design, were supposed to provide certain advantages in the daily operation of the car. These new tires are Grabber AT3. The American manufacturer General Tire has introduced a number of design innovations in this rubber line. Among the innovations, we especially note:
The thinner, but tighter weave of the reinforcing wire, which on the one hand makes the rubber stronger, and on the other hand it is lighter.
Grabber AT3 tires are designed with a stiffer center rib and more elastic sidewalls. This ensures better directional stability and stability when driving at high speeds.
Another design feature of the Grabber AT3 is the special shape of the tread. The tread grooves are deep, diagonally directed. The deep tread provides optimum grip at the same time and efficiently drains water on both sides. This is the design feature that provides a more confident start.
The sloping arrangement of the tread grooves allows the tire to be used in all weather conditions. Effective drainage of water on the sides of the center section prevents aquaplaning.
Attention: the tread pattern is directional, and therefore, when mounting, the tires are located on the rim in accordance with the arrow indicator.
More about the tread
The AT3 Grabber tread features a symmetrical V-pattern design. Deep grooves diverge from the center towards the side areas. As previously mentioned, this pattern provides resistance to aquaplaning, improves handling, reduces braking distances, and reduces the level of noise produced. In addition to the listed advantages, we note that thanks to the special tread pattern, the tire cleans itself. This is an obvious plus if the vehicle is used outside the city.
About the composition of Grabber AT3
Grabber AT3 tires are formulated for high durability and good grip. For these purposes, the base composition, in addition to the rubber base, includes polymer and silica inclusions.
Silica inclusions provide a high degree of friction on the running surface of the tires. Polymer additives make Grabber AT3 tires more abrasion resistant. A certain content of rubber provides the tires with the required degree of elasticity over the entire operating temperature range.
Customer Reviews
By Noah
I use Grabber AT3 tires mainly in the city, occasionally I go to my cabin outside the city. The car is four-wheel drive, so in the summer it is well controlled both on dry land and in slush. Really low noise from inside of the car and less vibration on the steering wheel. Among the shortcomings, it becomes low handling on the ice, but this is a problem for all-season tires if the temperature outside is below minus 10. On very loose snow, slippage is also possible.
By Lori
Acoustic comfort at altitude. Pleased with a little wear during active use. I’ve used these tires all four seasons in the city and outside the city. After 30 thousand miles the tread depth was approximately 3.4mm. This is a great result. Light side impacts on curbs do not harm these tires at all.
By Dominic
My Opel Antara, weighing almost two tons, rides like a passenger car on these tires. We move briskly from the traffic light and freeze well in front of the traffic light. The car now enters corners as if on rails. Well, the price of these tires is within reasonable limits. In general, it is a practical choice for those who are counting money.
Verdict
Grabber AT3 tires are quality all-season tires for urban and light off-road use. We recommend these tires for most modern crossover models. The entire line of this rubber is the best combination of price and quality.
