Introduced in Fall 2017, Toyo Extesa HP II is an all-season passenger car tire that strikes a balance between dynamic ride and high performance. They provide stable easy handling on dry and wet road surfaces, as well as light snow, mechanical and acoustic comfort, and optimal fuel consumption.
The Toyo Extensa HP II tire replaces the Toyo Extensa HP model, which has been in production since 2009. Their improved all-season traction results from the combination of a rubber compound with silica and an optimized unidirectional tread pattern. In comparison with its predecessor, the braking distance of the second-generation tires on wet asphalt has decreased by almost 9.5 meters, the manufacturer says.
Extensa HP and Extensa HP II tread design
The stylish directional design of the Extensa HP II tread ensures good road-holding and reliable grip at any time of the year says a Shina.Guide technician. The optimized tread block stiffness improves braking performance and improves cornering stability at high speeds.
Deep curved grooves in the center tread of Toyo Extensa HP 2 all-season tires help reduce uneven wear and provide a smooth, quiet ride and increased traction on snow.
Toyo Extensa HP II Performance
The rubber compound of this all-season, which contains a highly dispersed silica, provides additional grip in wet conditions and prolongs the life of the tire.
The Toyo Extensa HP II model is not only a stylish addition to the design of the car but also a guarantee of safe movement at high speeds.
The range of the Extensa family includes tires for sports, off-road, and premium car classes, with equally excellent driving characteristics. The HP II is no exception, which is a sporty, high-performance model with responsive handling, maximum grip, and braking properties in any weather. The positive qualities of a tire also include low noise, high wear resistance, ease of rolling, and increased ride comfort. Thanks to this, Toyo Extenza HP 2 tires are 10% more fuel-efficient and 15% more mileage than their predecessors. A good half of these properties are provided by the symmetrical directional tread, which is atypical for summer models. The non-breaking rib in the center of the treadmill and two other ribs, consisting of blocks of the original shape, work to improve directional stability, responsiveness to steering, and grip on the road surface.
Wide lightning-shaped channels in the center of the Toyo Extensa HP II tire and located in the shoulder areas, xiphoid grooves serve to increase traction and accelerate the evacuation of water from the contact patch, while the hard rubber simultaneously eliminates aquaplaning. Another type of grooves, reminiscent of "claws", when maneuvering and making turns, literally push the liquid out. All grooves do not communicate with each other, due to which the rigidity of the tread elements is increased and the noise of the tire is reduced.
The second component of the good qualities of the model is a unique compound, which contains silica, orange oil, and various additives that provide adhesion properties, friction resistance, and tensile strength.
Summer tires Toyo Extenza HP 2 are:
- high performance;
- powerful grip;
- wear-resistant rubber;
- fuel efficiency;
- quiet and soft running;
- lack of aquaplaning.
Toyo has been one of the leaders in the tire industry for decades. The rubber of this brand is included in the original equipment of cars of the most famous manufacturers, is highly valued by participants in sports car races, and is in great demand among ordinary consumers.
