NeoTires

The Yokohama Geolandar A / T G015 is an all-terrain, non-directional, all-terrain tire designed for use on a wide range of SUVs and pickups. The model is characterized by high adhesion properties and smooth running in any weather on any surface.

Yokohama Geolandar A / T G015 tires were presented to a wide audience in March 2016 at the 86th Geneva International Motor Show. They were created for drivers who prefer to maintain an active lifestyle while striving at the same time not to spend money on a seasonal change of automobile "shoes".

The large tread blocks of the Yokohama G015 improve handling and stability at high speeds without increasing noise. An optimized groove shape in the tread blocks improves lateral stability and prevents slipping when cornering.

Three-dimensional sipes maintain optimal tread block rigidity, increasing the tire's service life, as well as increasing grip in adverse weather conditions.

The aggressive look of the model is given by large additional elements located on the sidewalls. They protect the tire from mechanical damage.

Tires are manufactured using modern technologies from high-quality rubber. Electronic control guarantees the stability of the quality of the finished product. The developed tread pattern ensures reliable contact of the tire with the road surface and optimal behavior of the car on the road.

Tread design features

The improved internal structure of the Yokohama Geolander AT G 015 tires with a thick bead ring not only allows the tires to withstand heavy daily loads but also increases their strength and reliability. As noted by the Shina. Guide technical specialist, the Geolandar A / T sizes designed for use on light-duty pickup trucks are highly resistant to various mechanical damages, therefore, they are suitable for use on the most severe off-road conditions.

In addition to silicon dioxide (silica) and orange peel oil, the rubber compound of this all-season Geolandar model has been supplemented with special functional polymers that enhance traction on various types of road surfaces and significantly extend the tire life.

Geolandar is Yokohama's global SUV tire brand. In response to the growing popularity of SUVs in recent years, the Japanese manufacturer has accelerated the development and launch of new tires in the Geolandar family.

Just a year before the official premiere of the Yokohama Geolandar A / T G015, the Geolandar H / T G056 all-terrain all-terrain tire was launched for medium to large SUVs.

Yokohama has developed a complete line of Geolandar tires to meet the diverse requirements of SUV drivers. Today, in addition to the previously mentioned models, it includes models: Geolandar SUV G055 for small and mid-size urban crossovers, Geolandar M / T + G001C mud for off-road use, and non-studded winter Geolandar I / TS G073.

  • Off-road adapted tire

In-car tires of the Geolander A / T series, a tread with massive rubber blocks are used. The edges of the tread blocks have a sharpened shape, so the tire keeps excellent contact with the primer, snowy surfaces, and icy asphalt.

Due to the increased size of the functional tread elements, the tire easily overcomes various road obstacles, preventing the car from getting stuck in mud and snowdrifts.

  • Aquadrainage system

Protection against the occurrence of the hydroplaning process is provided by a complex drainage system. Its structure consists of four grooves located in the center of the trodden track, as well as multidirectional grooves that separate the rubber blocks from each other. These grooves on the tread instantly absorb dirt, water, and snow slurry, as a result of which the contact patch is cleared of a water film that negatively affects the quality of adhesion to the roadway.

  • Decent handling and agility

The Yokohama Geolender series tires provide precise wheel response even in small steering turns. The sharp edges of the shoulder blocks literally "cut" into the road surface during maneuvers, so the car will not fly into a ditch, will not find itself in the oncoming lane, and will not get into an uncontrolled skid even at high speed.

  • Reinforced inner structure

Under the tread part, there is a multilayer cord formed from metal belts and nylon fibers. Such a carcass provides high-quality shock absorption when driving on difficult terrain so that the tire does not undergo critical damage. The thick sidewall protects the tire from leaks and breaks in side impacts. All this helps to increase the service life of the tire and avoid unnecessary problems associated with its premature wear or accidental deformation.

The advantages of Yokohama Geolandar A / T G015 include:

Soft, after Hankook Ventus ST RH06 felt that the joints and irregularities are swallowed very gently;

Quiet tires;

They are well cleaned of small stones;

Adequately behave on dry asphalt surface;

They behave adequately on wet asphalt surfaces, drain water well (got under good showers);

Great view of the car;

Replacing Hankook Ventus ST RH06 tires with Yokohama Geolandar A / T G015

Who likes white letters on rubber, then they are available. On one side, rubber with white letters, on the other, regular black.

Conclusion:

I can recommend YOKOHAMA GEOLANDAR A / T G015 tires as universal tires for any touring car.
