The BFGoodrich g-Force COMP-2 is a hot-road sports tire that blurs the line between performance and all-season use. It is characterized by ride comfort, effective braking, and excellent handling. It will definitely surprise you with its high wear resistance and fuel efficiency.
Quality radial summer tires. The type of car for which the tires are intended: passenger car. Manufactured at BF Goodrich factories using electronic quality control of the finished product The manufacturer has already dubbed its 2015 premiere, the BFGoodrich g-Force Comp-2, model, "the best all-season UHP tires in the entire history of the brand." It is not surprising, because the tire, in addition to the first-class grip on dry and wet asphalt, provides reliable contact with snowy roads in summer.
ETEC system
If you know anything about the brand's products, then you are probably familiar with the BFGoodrich g-Force Sport Comp 2, a high-performance summer tire designed for sports cars. Since both tires (BF Goodrich g-Force Comp-2, and BF Goodrich g-Force Sport Comp-2) have almost the same name, it goes without saying that their construction is the same. But while the Sport Comp-2 tires are only effective in warm weather, the all-season Sport Comp-2, promises high performance in light snow.
“Although the tread pattern is the same as the previous model, we have simplified the sidewall design to give it a more 'racing' look,” said Andy Koury, UHP tire division manager at BFGoodrich. "Well, and, of course, the tires are of higher performance." The grip on wet surfaces has been increased by 30% and dry grip by 80%, the manufacturer said in a statement. “Advances in rubber compounding technology have allowed us to achieve significant improvements in grip on both dry and wet surfaces,” says Kuri. "We've added a compound designed specifically for very powerful cars and modified the internal cushioning of the tires ... We have strengthened, optimized, and refined the damping system to improve steering response, rigidity, and controllability."
Improved contact patch shape
The BFGoodrich g-Force Sport COMP-2 also features hollow blocks in the shoulder sections for optimal visibility at the grip limit;
- a one-piece center rib for improved directional stability at high speed;
- a hook-shaped tread pattern with a large number of engaged edges for high grip at any angle of rotation;
- and a sideways groove in the shoulder for maximum road contact.
The relationship to racing tires is evidenced by the internal structure, which improves steering response and control; as well as side section inserts that increase cornering handling by 40 percent stiffening the sidewalls. The new UTQG-rated 340 AAA tires also feature reduced shoulder blocks for maximum visibility at the grip limit; a solid rib in the central part to improve road holding on the highway; hook-shaped tread pattern with a large number of edges for increased traction at any angle of rotation; as well as offset grooves in the shoulder areas to maximize contact with the road.
Another feature of the BFGoodrich g-Force Sport COMP-2 is its 'racing' design, which improves handling and includes sidewall inserts for a more precise cornering response. The stiffness of the side sections has also been increased by 40%, the manufacturer adds.
