Proxes TQ is Toyo's Drag Racing radial tires, developed specifically for endurance racers, using street-friendly tires to seek top qualifying performance on drag tracks.

Proxes TQ tires are designed to bring riding versatility to the track and vice versa while providing endurance racing appearance and traction. However, like all Drag Racing radial tires, they are not designed to run on extremely wet roads with water, where there is a risk of skidding, or through snow or ice at temperatures close to freezing.

As a dual-purpose racing tire, Proxes TQ is designed with a smaller tread depth and a special rubber compound to obtain the best traction in dry weather. Therefore, it is important to check the available tread depth frequently, because, like all racing tires, Proxes TQ wears earlier than ordinary passenger car tires and provides less grip in wet conditions. If Proxes TQ or any tire wears down to the wear indicator bar, the tread depth does not exceed 2/32 of an inch. Do not use them on the street. Use PROXES TQ in wet conditions to drive with extreme caution and reduce speed.

Proxes TQ has molded a resistance radial rubber tread that maximizes grip during launch. This compound is molded into an asymmetric tread design with two different tread areas, optimized for on-road and street use. The semi-smooth interior area enhances the traction of the independent rear suspension vehicle while maintaining a constant grip on the straight axle rear suspension vehicle. Variable steps in the outdoor area can reduce the noise when customers are driving on the street. The internal structure of the tire uses a resistance race structure and a special resistance race radial carcass to help improve casting performance by maintaining large and consistent traction during the resistance race. The size and shape of the footprint are controlled by a spirally wound seamless cap and a double steel belt reinforced with an edge layer. The seamless bead fixes the tire to the wheel, while the high-modulus bead compound and the slightly inclined car body ply work together to stabilize the sidewall.

Toyo Tires recommends the following Proxes TQ general setup guide:

starts with a cold tire inflation pressure of 17 psi. Adjust the tire inflation pressure up or down in 1 psi increments to achieve the desired result (in no case should it be used below 15 psi). In the absence of tire slip, use as much pressure as possible under track conditions. Higher inflation pressure will improve reaction time, stability, and rolling resistance.

As a general guideline, if you have experience racing with drag radial tires, Toyo recommends that you do not change your burnout program. However, for the first run, we recommend a slightly longer burnout period than normal. Generally, on a cold track at a cooler ambient temperature, we recommend a longer burn, conversely, shorter burn-in warmer conditions. Be aware that burning for a long time can overheat the rubber and shorten the life of the tire.

Always remember to re-inflate your tires to the recommended street inflation pressure before leaving the track.

Warning: Proxes TQ Radial Line meets DOT requirements, but driving in wet conditions where there is water and there is a risk of water skiing is not recommended; In these situations, the driver must be careful to slow down. This is especially true for worn tires. Like other DOT track and competition tires, these tires are not designed to be stored, repaired, or driven near or below freezing temperature, snow, or ice.

The Toyo Proxes TQ is a US Department of Transportation radial drag racing tire. Specially designed for high-performance muscle cars and street racing cars, the Proxes TQ delivers maximum grip and shortens mileage.

The new rubber compound, reinforced carcass structure, and redesigned tread pattern - together provide excellent traction and overall performance - road-holding when driving at high speed on the track and low noise on asphalt. Whether you are on the track or the track, Proxes TQ will give you the best performance.

  • Excellent directional stability at high speeds: T-Mode design technology Wide flexible steel belts Continuous bead wire Elastic sidewall Elastic rubber compound Spiral wrap,
  • Dry performance: New special tread compound and asymmetric low porosity tread design for maximum grip during fast start a special "running" radial cage that creates a wide contact area and provides maximum traction. Soft, quiet ride. T-Mode design technology. Blocks of different shapes on the outer part of the shoulder area reduce noise generation.

Monolithic frame with unbreakable bead wire. Unique tread pattern with low porosity of the rubber compound
