Toyo PROXES RA1 is a summer tire for street racing and drag racing.
The tread pattern of Toyo PROXES RA1 provides excellent grip on wet surfaces and resists aquaplaning. Linear grooves from the center to the edge of the tread reduce the load on the block and make wear more even.
Toyo Proxes is a UHP (Ultra High Performance) tire with a directional tread pattern. Designed for sports sedans and coupes, they provide high-speed handling and excellent grip on wet and dry roads, while maintaining low noise levels and optimal driving comfort.
FEATURES & BENEFITS
- RUBBER MIXTURE WITH INCREASED SILICA CONTENT
The rubber compound provides excellent dry and wet handling and reduced heat build-up.
- DIRECTED PATTERN DRAWING
The functional tread design provides excellent wet and dry performance.
- WEDGE-SHAPED MAIN GROOVES
Drain water for improved wet performance.
- RIGID SHOULDER RIBS
Provides reliable traction when cornering at high speeds. They also contribute to a quieter and more comfortable ride.
- GROOVES IN THE SHOULDER AREA
Promotes slower, more even wear.
Advantages:
- does not pop up
- the sidewall is strong
- holds well on dry asphalt
- price and quality are combined
- cool design pattern
Disadvantages:
- overheats quickly
Technologies
Japan is an advanced state. The main strong point of the Land of the Rising Sun is the IT industry. It was computer hardware that helped develop the DSOC-T software the simulation that Japanese engineers used to design the Proxes RA1 tires. In the early 2000s, this is an advanced technology that Toyo adopted.
DSOC-T simulation is not only a design but also a virtual test of a tire in various conditions, including:
- several options for the roadway;
- different brands of cars;
- all kinds of weather, etc.
In a virtual study, the composition of the compound is more accurately formed and the optimal tread pattern is selected. As a result, a high-speed tire with exceptional handling and unique stability comes to the market.
Toyo Proxes RA1 Summer Tread
The Toyo Proxes RA1 tire is equipped with a symmetrical directional V-shaped tread pattern. It seems rustic and the wheel resembles a half slick. However, the uncomplicated drawing is fraught with impressive potential. Symmetrical tread blocks, on either side of the center, have been proven to be effective in the following:
- when gaining speed;
- at the moment of sudden braking;
- with feedback to steering commands;
- in extending the service life.
Wide drainage channels efficiently remove water, providing high-quality adhesion in the contact patch. Wide rectangular side blocks provide stability on turns and prevent deformation of the tread. Tread depth 7.8 - 8 mm.
