Taiwanese tire manufacturer Maxxis says that in response to customer feedback, engineers have updated the tread compounds of their Maxxis Victra RC-1 sports tires to improve grip, handling, and uneven wear while maintaining other vital tire characteristics, including quick warming up to operating temperature and resistance to overheating.
The Maxxis Victra RC-1 is the company's first tire designed for road racing. The tires are capable of “delivering consistently good lap times while heating up very quickly,” the tire manufacturer notes. "The tires are ideal for track days, sprints, and endurance races." Maxxis Victra RC-1 is available in 12 sizes.

The new R2 rubber formulations (for Maxxis Victra RC-1) differ significantly from each other, as RC-1 slicks are exclusively on a dry race track. The Maxxis Victra RC-1 tires, made from S1 and R1 compounds, will be available until a full compounding transition is complete.
For the best performance characteristics, Maxxis recommends equipping vehicles with Maxxis Victra RC-1 tires with the same tread compound.
