TOURING T/A

The new BF TOURING T/A is the latest model in the company's product line and arguably one of the best models. TOURING T/A is specially designed for drivers of coupes, cars, crossovers, and SUVs, with a series of new technologies that can improve performance and service life.

TOURING T/A tire is BF's all-season Grand Touring tire, which was specially developed for drivers of two-door sports cars, cars, and crossovers. It is designed to combine a smooth, quiet ride with responsive handling and cornering stability. Also, it is designed to handle all weather conditions, even under convincing traction, as well as light snow.

The TOURING T/A tire uses a coupled silica compound molded in an asymmetric pattern. BF's "Stability Performance" reduces the inherent flexibility of independent tread blocks, while tread pattern elements are interlocking in order to handle responsiveness and stability in high-speed turns. The wide outer shoulder pads can reduce the void area for lateral traction, while the center ribs and inner shoulders use a higher density of shims and a larger open space to aid in wet and slip-resistant traction.

The internal structure of the TOURING T/A consists of a high-spin, single-layer polyester carcass under two high-strength steel belts. Spiral-wound nylon reinforcement can increase the processing response speed and help improve high-speed durability. The asymmetrical tread design allows you to easily turn the tire left and right.

You can find tires in various sizes from 15 to 19 inches, with nominal speeds of H, V, and W. BF provides tires with a 60,000-mile or 50,000-mile tread warranty.

Special Features

3D Micro-Gauge Siping- The specially designed 3D Micro Gauge sipe allows the tread blocks to interlock to provide maximum stability to improve traction, handling, and safety, even when the tire is half worn. 3D Micro-Gauge Siping is BF's trademark technology for stabilizing tread elements and providing responsive control. They extend the entire depth of the tread that can be used, which also improves the appearance of wear and helps to achieve uniform tread wear throughout the life of the tire. 3D Micro-Gauge Grooves is an innovative technology that allows the elements of the tire tread to interlock and stabilize the tread. This maximizes the contact between the tread and the road surface for better grip in wet conditions and light snow, resulting in excellent handling and traction. Full-depth 3D micro-gauge groove across the entire coverage area creates the undercut needed for grip on low-friction surfaces, such as light snow.

Wear Square Visual Indicators - As the tires wear, the gauges will change. This makes it easy to determine remaining tread life or mechanical issues that cause uneven wear. It provides you with visible comfort, confidence, and safety. Wear Square is a visual wear indicator, so as your tire wears, the shape of the visual wear indicator changes, allowing you to estimate the remaining tread life of your tire. Knowing the approximate tread life of a tire can give you more confidence in the vehicle. If Wear Square inside and outside are at different stages, it means there may be a wheel alignment problem, please seek professional services.  Finally, the TOURING T/A tire uses Wear Square technology, which is a visual indicator of tread wear that allows you to see how many miles of the footprint is left on the rim.

Modern Tread Compound - Modern travel tread rubber and contours provide uniform wear and long life. The mystery of any tire traction starts at the molecular level. Silica has an excellent performance in all seasons, improving braking effect, reducing heat generated in tires, and reducing rolling resistance, thereby reducing fuel consumption. BF's unique silica blend contains four times higher silica than the previous generation of premium all-season tires, greatly improving the performance of this tire. TOURING T/A will be the first company to use BF's next-generation coupled silica compound.

Stabiledge Performance - This technology improves handling and dry traction stability. Stabiledge is a bumper strategically placed in the various grooves of the tire tread to help stabilize the elements of the tread under driving conditions, improve steering accuracy and provide a better road feel. The Stabiledge function also helps to keep the grooves in the contact area between the tire and the road unblocked, thereby providing good traction.  StabilEdge technology ensures responsive and consistent steering response while providing better control throughout the speed range.

Overall Thoughts

In terms of price, the BF TOURING T/A is excellent value for money. They provide solid wet and dry performance on all types of roads while providing responsive steering and control capabilities. Grip and cornering stability are best in class. We say that it compares favorably to the Pirelli P7 All Season Plus in this regard.

The drive is comfortable because it is a very soft tire. The road noise is very quiet. BF also offers a good warranty of 50K or 60K miles. Overall, this is just one of the best performing all-season touring tires today, especially if you are looking for a slightly sportier ride. It is a highly recommended purchase.
