Cooper has introduced the new Cooper ROADMASTER RM230 HH to the US market, an all-season pickup and SUV tire designed for off-roading, but claims to have optimum performance on asphalt making them suitable for everyday life.

There are two sidewall designs to choose from during installation
When operating on asphalt at high speed, Whisper Grooves block the rapid passage of airflow, reducing noise levels, and Stable Trac Technology has been used to improve stability and control - multidirectional micro-slats increase traction on slippery surfaces. In addition, the pattern has been refined to repel rocks and prevent damage.

Drainage system
The Cooper ROADMASTER RM230 HH all-season tire must have an effective drainage system that handles both water and snow without problems. To achieve this, a branched drainage system was used in this model, consisting of four massive channels and a large number of small grooves of various shapes. This combination allows water, mud and snow to be removed from the entire surface. The new shape of the grooves prevents stones from getting stuck in the tread and speeds up self-cleaning, increasing flotation in all conditions. Zig-zag sipes and small grooves on the blocks reduce driving noise and increase grip on ice. At the same time, driving long distances has become more comfortable.
New components in the rubber compound
The company is constantly working to improve the rubber compound, which would significantly increase the driving performance of the tire. In this model, a compound with a high content of silicon dioxide was used, which improves wear resistance without reducing the elasticity of the tread. The new rubber compound provided the tire with excellent grip in all weather conditions and also reduced the rolling coefficient when driving. This has improved efficiency and improved stability when driving at high speeds.

Sidewall and protector new items
The manufacturer also notes that silica has been added to the rubber compound, which, in combination with deep 3D sipes, improves ride quality on asphalt all year round. The tread pattern also includes continuous shoulder ribs to resist uneven wear and reduce noise. The increased durability allows the tire to be used in the toughest urban conditions.
The Cooper ROADMASTER RM230 HH is available in R and S speed ratings, and the entire line consists of 17 sizes with diameters ranging from 15 to 18 inches.
