Tire Trendsetter SE features
- All Season "Block" Tread Design
- See Through Grooves
- Dual Compound Tread
- Deep Lateral Shoulder Slots
- Polyester Cord Body
- White Sidewalls
- Variable Pitched Tread Elements
The dual-ply all-season rubber tread and asymmetrical tread pattern provide better traction and handling on dry roads. The double-layer also increases durability and provides lower rolling resistance, which increases fuel consumption. The square elements of the tread increase the grip of the tire and bite into wet or snowy roads. They also increase the resistance to the seaplane and improve the traction on snow, sleet, or ice.
Cooper uses computer-designed variable-pitch tread sequences to reduce road noise and create greater overall driving comfort, making driving on the highway more enjoyable. Customer Review
By AndySoCal “Good tire at a nice price”
Already fitted onto an old rear-wheel-drive Jaguar, the Cooper Trendsetter SE gave the car a smooth, quiet ride on most all road surfaces. The steering feel was pleasing (no vibration), and the grip was good while cornering and braking. Maximum grip on dry tarmac was perhaps lower and steering response less immediate than more modern summer tires, but the grip was consistent even transitioning onto wet pavement; I could feel and adjust for any sense of slipperiness, meaning the handling characteristics of these Coopers was nice. They suited the old car, my driving style, and my passenger comfort very well. I liked the Trendsetter SE tires so much, I bought a second set for a front-wheel-drive Nissan: results on that very different car were equally pleasing. Yes, I highly recommend these tires for year-round driving around town, around the countryside, and on the highway.
