The Toyo Celsius CUV is a revolutionary all-season tire with an asymmetric tread design designed for use in variable weather conditions on off-road vehicles. Provides good all-season traction, effective braking on wet roads and winter surfaces. It is characterized by increased driving comfort and fuel efficiency.

The Toyo Celsius CUV tire was introduced in 2015. The manufacturer positions it as an intermediate option between typical all-season tires, which are ineffective in real winter conditions, and specialized winter tires. In other words, the developers have created an all-season tire that is more suitable for winter conditions. Toyo Celsius CUV buyers are drivers who dreamed of driving peacefully on snow and ice on all-season tires.

Celsius CUV has an asymmetric tread pattern, which is not quite usual for all-season tires, which, explains the high grip properties of the tire both on snow and ice (the advantage of specialized winter tires) and on asphalt, dry and wet (the advantages of standard all-season tires). In addition, unlike models intended for all-season use, it is characterized by a longer runtime, which allows the Toyo Celsius CUV to be classified as a touring tire.

A quick overview of Toyo Celsius CUV.

  • Towing around the clock.
  • Longer tread life.
  • Alignment indicator.
  • Reduce road noise levels.
  • Greater controllability

The contact between the tire and the road determines the controllability of the tire model. Because the tire is the only part of the vehicle that actually makes contact with the road, the tire plays a very important role in ensuring the safety of the vehicle. Better steering and driving stability allow the driver to fully control the entire vehicle throughout the tire performance process. The asymmetrical degree Celsius tread design with high sipe detailing can keep a firm grip on the road, so the tire is always in contact with the road.

The sporty pattern on the outer shoulder area improves road contact and allows the tire to perform at its best. Maintaining contact with the road helps the tires improve steering response and driving stability. In other words, the model becomes faster and more accurate in responding to the driver's steering command, and the frame can stably resist the driving pressure that affects the model. This combination allows the driver to fully control the vehicle under various conditions.

The outer shoulder pattern also enhances the cornering ability. The fine high-density pattern of the tread increases the number of sharp edges attached to the road, increasing the turning ability and power. They grip the road and keep the tires in contact with the surface to improve handling. Meticulous quadrilateral tread details enhance braking force. These sipes will generate friction between the road and the tires during braking, which will significantly shorten the stopping distance and ensure safer performance.

The inner part of the tread is responsible for traction on snow and ice, so we can see a denser mesh of sipes on it. But on the outside, the density of sipes, on the contrary, is reduced, which contributes to increased grip on dry and wet roads.

Also on the surface of the tread blocks, there are wavy micro-slats. They prevent uneven tire wear while improving ride comfort while improving braking performance in all weather conditions.

Additional traction of the Toyo Celsius CUV in deep snow is provided by special "snow claws". They also increase the rigidity of the tread blocks, on which the reliability and safety of contact of this crossover tire with wet roads and ice depend.

Anti-slime grooves, complementing the action of a well-developed drainage system, effectively drain water and snow slurry from the contact patch, thanks to which the Celsius CUV is resistant to longitudinal and lateral aquaplaning, and is also characterized by easy and stable handling in wet road conditions.

Model performance

The guaranteed mileage of the Toyo Celsius Kuv model is about one hundred thousand kilometers, which significantly exceeds the mileage of most specialized winter tires.

Toyo Celsius CUV tires offer year-round versatility with an emphasis on winter safety.

For car owners, American engineers of the Japanese manufacturer offer Toyo Celsius tires.

“These tires are for those planning to ride on snow and ice this winter in an all-season tire,” said Roy Bromfield, senior operating officer for Toyo USA. "Convenience and safety are significant benefits in today's busy life and meet the demand for a solution that requires less action from car owners."

Mr. Bromfield also added that Toyo has previously successfully created new categories of tires targeted to the needs of drivers, and the company expects Toyo Celsius to be in high demand among dealers and consumers.

The tires feature an asymmetric tread pattern that improves traction on snow and ice while improving dry and wet handling. The inner section functions on the principle of winter tires - high density of sipes improve traction on snowy and icy surfaces, special "snow claws" increase grip in deep snow, and additional grooves deflect snow and slush aside. In turn, the design of the outer zone is borrowed from all-season tires - the wavy sipes increase the rigidity of the blocks, improving the tire's behavior on ice, wet and dry roads. To increase traction in deep snow, the claws were also placed in the outer section.

Good for A/S tires, I haven't expect something extraordinary but they proved to be very good, last winter we had a lot of snow but 4WD and nice tire performance got me out of it. Recommend them.
