Maxxis has announced the launch of the new Maxxis Victra VR-1 summer sports tire. The new product is excellent for use on the race track and city streets, quickly reaching operating temperatures and providing a high level of grip on dry surfaces, which is due to the special rubber compound.
Maxxis Victra VR-1 - semi-slick drifts designed for those motorists who love speed. The tire is characterized by excellent adhesion properties with dry and wet asphalt, light and stable handling, as well as high wear resistance.
Considering that Maxxis Victra VR-1 belongs to the UHP class, the manufacturer decided to manufacture these tires from a special rubber compound, which quickly heats up to operating temperature, and as a result, provides excellent grip on the road.
Moreover, the optimization of the rubber compound resulted in the preservation of the grip properties of the tire throughout the entire operating period, and the computer simulation of the tread pattern ensured excellent maneuverability in dry conditions and maximized grip in wet conditions.
The reinforced Maxxis VR1 Victra casing provides a lightning-fast and precise steering response.
The tread pattern is made in the "classic" design for sports tires with a V-shaped arrangement of drainage grooves. They are increased in size, which, together with the inclination and directionality against the movement of most of them, provides excellent resistance to aquaplaning. A massive longitudinal rib is located exactly in the middle. It reduces rolling resistance and increases directional stability on straight sections. When maneuvering, the central rib interacts with the shoulder blocks, interconnected by wide "bridges". This provides exceptional steering precision when maneuvering and cornering.
A new reinforced cage and sidewall design enhance responsive steering. And the new tread design, for maximum performance on dry asphalt, minimizes the risk of aquaplaning on wet surfaces. According to the tire manufacturer, due to the peculiarities of the tread compound, Maxxis Victra VR-1 is afraid of temperatures close to zero and requires special care during storage.
The running part of the tread is made from a special rubber compound, the composition of which is largely borrowed from sports tires for road circuit races. This is the reason for the very fast heating for "civilian" tires to the "working" temperature range, upon reaching which maximum grip properties are provided.
Main features of Maxxis VR1
- aggressive tread pattern with massive and rigid elements provides excellent grip in all driving modes;
- the increased volume of the drainage grooves and the considerable length of the edges formed by them allows intensive acceleration and deceleration on a wet surface;
- a special rubber compound with very high thermal conductivity provides the tire with exceptional grip, both on dry and wet surfaces.
