BFGoodrich Tire has unveiled the new BFGoodrich CONTROL PLUS tires, designed for year-round use and suitable for installation in both crossovers and minivans.

BFGoodrich CONTROL PLUS technology
The new tires are made using Aqua-Flume Technology, that is, additional grooves are located in the tread blocks, which accelerate the drainage of water from the contact patch. This, along with a new "all-season" compound, has improved wet ride performance, and the company says it outperformed its competitors, the General Altimax and Cooper CS5 Ultra Touring, in braking performance tests.
It is a practical solution for year-round use, as it provides motorists with CONTROL PLUS in all weather and road conditions. Large tread blocks of increased rigidity, along with deep longitudinal and wide diagonal grooves, as well as sipes, provide effective braking on wet and dry road surfaces.
The new generation g-Wedge Sidewall Stabilizer technology has also been used, which increases the torsional stiffness of the sidewalls and thereby improves steering response and ride comfort. BFGoodrich notes that the tires also have a reduced noise level, and for this factor, they have bypassed, for example, the Yokohama Ascend GT tires.
The guaranteed mileage is 75k for T and H sizes or 65k for V and W sizes. Michelin will also raise the prices of its BFGoodrich, Michelin, and Uniroyal passenger car and light truck tires in the US and Canadian markets in connection with “ changes in the dynamics of the market ”and an increase in the cost of raw materials.
