Hankook America has unveiled the new Hankook e3 WIDE drive axle tire, which the manufacturer claims have a higher service life than the previous generation. In addition, the tires are more economical and rolling resistance has been reduced by 10%.
The DL12 is using the new 3D Kerf technology, which provides unprecedented traction and longer tread life. The wide tread and the combined structure of block and ribs pattern are providing bigger stability, increased mileage, and better handling in any weather conditions.
The new model has become more durable and more economical in comparison with its predecessor
The tread pattern of the new Hankooks includes zig-zag grooves and 3D sipes for increased traction and has been optimized to reduce the risk of cracks. In addition, the reinforced carcass structure improves retreading.
The ultra-wide tire line also includes the trailed e3 Wide, which is produced in the same dimension but has a smaller groove depth of 13 mm.
The Hankook e3 Wide DL12 offers excellent lifelong grip thanks to its 3D sipes and semi-open shoulder area. The tire is SmartWay certified, confirming its high level of fuel efficiency.
The e3 Wide DL12 is designed for long-haul haulage and is suitable for driving axle mounting. Spiral-Coil technology reinforces the tire carcass and makes the contact patch more stable, resulting in improved durability and fuel efficiency. The combination of blocks and ribs improves tire reliability over its predecessor, and the wide tread evenly distributes pressure across the contact patch.
The pattern of the tire:
3D Sipe Technology
The tangential zigzag-type fully-depth sipes are generating a binding force between all the available blocks.
A more combined structure of the Block Pattern and the Rib itself
Can provide increased stability, longevity mileage, and much better handling performance.
Semi-Open Rib of the shoulder
Can provide increased stability, traction in any possible weather conditions.
7 Grooves with a Zig-zag-like Pattern and Full Depthability
A long and original tread life with even better traction throughout the entire life of the tire.
