The new Hankook AL07 + hard-wearing steering axle tires set a new standard in commercial tires, utilizing innovative technology that improves both durability and fuel efficiency.

An advanced tread compounding system has been applied to increase tread durability without sacrificing safety. Hankook calls this process the Innovative Mixing System (IMS) and the materials bond more firmly and generate less heat, both of which increase the tire's life. Other innovations have also improved durability.
This model is characterized by excellent performance in all weather conditions, high reliability, and very long service life, provided by the possibility of retreading.
Reinforced shoulder areas
This model is one of the first where Hankook has adopted UMS technology. Its main functional purpose is to increase the tire's resistance to dynamic deformation that occurs during movement. To this end, South Korean tire workers have maximized the rigidity of the shoulder areas of the tread pattern, which have a flat profile and massive dimensions. Besides, the tire carcass has undergone significant reinforcement, which received an all-metal cord with increased cross-section threads.
As a result, most of the technical characteristics of the Hankook AL07 + have been significantly improved. In particular, the size of the contact patch was increased, while its shape became almost rectangular, which most favorably affected the adhesion properties, carrying capacity, resistance to shock loads, and uneven wear. In addition, the absence of any tears along the entire shoulder areas reduced rolling resistance and noise levels and also improved responsiveness.
High braking performance
In contrast to the shoulder areas, the central part of the tread pattern has a more open design, which is characterized by the presence of a large number of lateral grip edges. They are formed due to the many straight sipes cut to the full depth of the tread on all three longitudinal ribs, which are located in its central part. These elements provide the tire with a very high braking performance, especially on wet roads.

Hankook AL07 + has a unique groove pattern. By minimizing material movement between the tread and sidewalls, the grooves help reduce heat generation and the possibility of tearing. The tire profile wears out more slowly thanks to the Stiffness Control Contour Technology (SCCT), which distributes the internal force of the carcass around the tire circumference to prevent pressure from being concentrated in one place. This not only increases strength but also provides an opportunity for better retreading.
The tread pattern of the Hankook AL07 + consists of 4 straight grooves that improve fuel efficiency and handling. Also, they are designed so that performance is not lost when erosion occurs inside the tread.
