G-MAX JUSTICE

It is no secret that the strongest and most reliable tires in America are installed on police cars and cars employed by other law enforcement agencies. Not so long ago, it was almost impossible to buy such tires. Today, strong and fast police tires are available to everyone. We are talking about G-MAX Justice - tires specially designed for law enforcement. The characteristics of these tires are ideal for driving at high speeds and for extended use without the need for replacement.

About the manufacturer

General Tire is America's oldest manufacturer of pneumatic tires and related products. The company was founded back in 1915. Since then, General Tire has developed many technologies that have been patented and are still in use today.

Today, General Tire's products are even more high-quality and in demand, since the company operates under the auspices of the German concern Continental AG.

About G-MAX ™ Justice tires in general

The General Tire G-MAX JUSTICE is a durable all-season high-performance tire. The technologies implemented in the construction of the tire provide precise control and excellent grip on the road surface, regardless of weather conditions. Another significant advantage of the tires presented in this line is the long tread life.

General Tire introduced the G-Max Justice in the UHP (Ultra High Performance) tire category. General Tire has set new quality standards for tires that will continue to be used in law enforcement vehicles, according to Travis Roffler, marketing director.

The G-Max Justice is a model based on developments previously used in the G-Max RS and G-Max AS-05 models. But the new tires are even more reliable, even more durable, and even more controllable at speeds up to 170 m/hr. Before launching the new tires into production, General Tire, in collaboration with the Michigan State Police, tested different versions of the G-MAX Justice on several models of police vehicles.

The tests were conducted at a test site near Uvalde, Texas. The tests have verified the performance of the rubber on dry and wet surfaces. Test results have shown that production-ready products provide better-wet braking performance and longer tread life than any police tire previously produced.

About technologies

The impressive technical performance of G-Max Justice is due to the technologies used in its production.

SmartGrip - This technology provides a quick steering response. This advantage is achieved due to the design features of the tire.

StabiliTread - This technology provides a wider rubber-to-road contact area for improved acceleration and abrasion resistance.

The rest of the technologies relates to the tread pattern, which, thanks to the special arrangement of the notches, not only provides optimal grip on the road surface but also diverts water away from the contact patch between rubber and road surface. As a result, when driving in rainy weather, the likelihood of aquaplaning is minimized.

About production materials

G-Max Justice tires use an all-season rubber compound, where the rubber base is supplemented with polymer fillers and silica. As a result, the rubber rubs less and, at the same time, provides better grip both on dry and wet asphalt and on ice.

About construction

The construction of the G-Max Justice, like the rest of the tires from this manufacturer, has a thicker, stiff center rib and more elastic sidewalls. Due to the thickened center, these tires are extremely difficult to pierce. The presence of elastic sidewalls allows you to enter a turn at high speed without negative consequences. The rest is ordinary tubeless rubber. With a thicker center rib and tighter inner liner, these tires are heavier than other rubber the brand makes for regular passenger cars.

Basic dimensions

At the time of the appearance of the G-Max Justice tires on the market, it was assumed that they could be used with only 6 car models including the Ford Police Interceptor Sedan, Ford Police Interceptor Utility, Chevrolet Caprice, Chevrolet Impala, Chevrolet Tahoe, Dodge Charger. More vehicles can now be fitted with G-Max Justice tires and are compatible with the following wheel sizes:

245 / 55R18; 235 / 50R18; 225 / 60R18

265 / 60R17; 235 / 55R17

225 / 60R16

Benefits

G-Max Justice tires have a lot of obvious advantages, otherwise, they simply would not be installed on police cars. Among these advantages, we especially note:

  • The optimal combination of durability and cost. G-Max Justice is a super practical tire, guaranteed to last longer than any other tire you can buy for a passenger car.
  • Better handling. Police cars chase and do so successfully. This is largely due to the fact that G-Max Justice tires provide excellent handling at different speeds and on different road surfaces.
  • There is almost no aquaplaning. The tread disperses the water to the sides ensuring stable contact between the road surface and the tire.
  • Effective start and no less effective braking. Starting with these tires can be done quickly and with little or no spin. The braking distance on these tires is not great. And all this because of the special tread and special rubber composition - both provide excellent grip.
  • Improved anti-puncture properties. Due to their denser structure, these tires are very difficult to puncture. Therefore, it is a very reliable tubeless tire.

Disadvantages

Does this rubber have any drawbacks that the buyer should know about in advance? Perhaps, there is only one drawback - so far it is not possible to buy such tires in every store. This is not surprising, since until recently G-Max Justice was not sold at all, but was distributed to police stations. However, if you have the desire, you can certainly buy this wonderful rubber.

Testimonials

As already mentioned, these tires have not yet received sufficient distribution. Domestic buyers have not yet run in enough tires, which are directly supplied from the United States. Therefore, we can share the opinions of American buyers. Of course, they are all happy, as for the average price they get indestructible rubber with sporty driving characteristics.

Moreover, these tires are so reliable that some motorists buy them even second-hand and then use them for at least a year. Each and every one of the buyers of these tires commented on their excellent directional stability. In other words, on such rubber, you do not need to constantly steer, and the car enters corners more confidently.

Output

So, should you buy G-Max Justice or not? Buy, of course, but on condition that this specific rubber fits your wheels and you can buy it. Otherwise, when buying such tires, you can only count on their many advantages.
