The Continental CONTIATTACK SM EVO summer tire is specially designed for high-speed motorcycles. This model has proven itself perfectly when used in various conditions.
The tire provides confident and predictable handling at any speed. At the same time, the sporty design of the tread used can decorate any motorcycle. At the end of production, the tire is subjected to careful visual and electronic control, which excludes the ingress of low-quality products to the consumer.
Sports tread pattern
When creating the tire, the sports tread pattern of the Continental CONTIATTACK SM EVO was used, which provides increased speed characteristics. The optimal location of the drainage channels of various depths allowed for maximum adhesion to any road surface.
The extended tread profile improves stability when driving at high speeds. To ensure excellent stability when maneuvering in the shoulder area, there is a special sharp edge. The center part of the tread has increased rigidity, providing excellent directional stability and quick feedback.
Unique Traction Skin Technology
When creating the tread, the new Traction Skin Technology was used, which made it possible to obtain an ideal tread surface due to the use of a new form of vulcanization. There is no need to add a large amount of lubricant to the mold, which degrades the tread surface.
High strength frame
At high speeds, the tire is subjected to increased loads that lead to damage and tread tears. To prevent these negative consequences, a new casing with increased strength was used in the tire. It is made using a new technology using a special steel tape and cord. Even at high speeds, the tire provides maximum safety, minimizing the possibility of tearing or damage to the tread.
The Continental CONTIATTACK SM EVO features Grip Limit Feedback Technology, which increases safety at high lean angles, as the tires inform the driver in advance of the possibility of a critical situation. The tire design was specially developed for modern sports bikes and provides the necessary stability and handling, including due to the increased contact patch. MultiGrip technology in combination with a large contact patch and low void ratio in the center of the tread increases the service life.
During development, more than one hundred prototypes with various cages, profiles, and compounds were tested on the track in Uvalde (Texas, USA), the Contidrom proving ground, and race tracks in Germany. The goal of the developers was to achieve the optimal balance between safety on wet roads and m, maximum, stability on the racetrack.
