NeoTires

The Barum BU 51 truck tire is distinguished by extremely versatile properties, with the exception of except for somewhat narrow specialization. This model is designed for installation on any axle of trucks operated mainly off roads with asphalt concrete pavement. However, this does not mean at all that it is impossible to move on it on ordinary roads. Quite the opposite, this tire has a fairly tolerable grip on asphalt.

"Closed" design of the central part of the tread

Among the distinctive features of the tread pattern of this model, it is worth noting the structure of the central part. It is a very wide longitudinal rib divided into two parts by a very narrow drainage groove. On the highway, such a tread element, which is highly resistant to deformation changes, provides the tire with excellent road holding and low rolling resistance.

As for the behavior of the double central rib outside paved roads, it will be very useful there too. Due to the absence of tears along its entire length, as well as the increased hardness of the rubber compound of the tread, this element protects the tire from almost any aggressive impact from the road surface.

Block structure of shoulder tread zones

Since the Barum BU 51 tire was originally conceived by Czech tire manufacturers for operation mainly on the off-road, they tried to give it maximum cross-country ability. That is why the shoulder areas have received the so-called "open" design. Each of them is a separate row of very massive blocks with elliptical edges. The combination of these dimensions and shapes provides the tire with excellent traction performance in rocky, muddy, and sandy areas, which allows it to demonstrate confident behavior when overcoming them. In addition, one cannot fail to note the very large distance between the blocks, due to which the tread is easily released even from large soil particles, thereby ensuring higher cross-country performance.

Special rubber compound

The tread compound for this tire has also been matched to the very adverse off-road conditions. Components have been added to its composition, giving the tread exceptional resistance to aggressive mechanical influences, including abrasion.

Main features of the Barum BU 51 tire

- the tire is excellent for installation on steering and driving axles of trucks, which are operated mainly off-road;

- "closed" design of the central part of the tread, which is a double longitudinal rib, provides the tire with painless operation in harsh off-road conditions;

- block structure of the shoulder tread zones, consisting of massive blocks with elliptical edges, thanks to which the tire confidently overcomes even the most difficult sections;

- excellent indicators of self-cleaning of the tread, due to which the indicators of passability are increased;

- excellent directional stability, reduced rolling resistance due to the high deformation resistance of the central longitudinal rib.

The presented model of tires has won the respect of many motorists. Barum BU 51 tires have shown excellent performance and comfort not only on modern highways but also on off-road sections of the track. Such a tire of a new generation is not afraid of the vagaries of the weather - it can be installed on a car at any time of the year and travel without problems to any corner of the country. If you look closely at the Barum BU 51 tread, you can see a unique pattern that will provide the car with an excellent grip. The tread performance is also characterized by good cross-country ability, stability, and carrying capacity. Independent auto experts who tested the rubber found a modified, modern formula in the composition. It increases its durability and provides a high rate of auto mileage.

To achieve this result, Continental engineers have developed a thickened sidewall layer that protects the structure and provides additional impact resistance. The new Barum Industry also features extended lugs for a smoother ride and less wear.

Jill Rogers, Marketing Manager for Barum, said: “The tires will come with the motto 'Good Tire, Good Deal' because that is how it is. The Barum brand has already earned respect in the truck and passenger tire segments, and now our industrial customers will be able to take full advantage of it. ”
