PARALLER AT
Chinese manufacturers never cease to amaze with the variety of car tires. The range of products from China is so great that you can buy tires for all categories of vehicles. And today we are talking about Paraller A / T tires, specially designed for light trucks and other equipment with suitable rim sizes.
About tires in general
Around the same time as the Paraller A / T, the Paraller M / T tires entered the market. So, this is about the same model, the only difference is in the tread height. If the model with the M / T index is positioned as an off-road mud tire, then the Paraller A / T tire has a lower tread height and is sharpened not so much for rough terrain as for normal city roads and dense dirt and gravel surfaces.
Like the rest of the Paraller range, the A / T is an all-season rubber that is adapted to work in a variety of weather conditions. What else can you tell about these tires? Probably because they are tubeless, lightweight and perfectly balanced. In addition, these tires, unlike other all-season tires, are inexpensive, which makes their purchase, if not profitable, then at least a practical solution. It remains to figure out why these tires are cheaper than similar rubber. In addition, we will determine whether, in addition to the affordable price, there are reasons for buying these tires or not.
Who is doing
To understand whether tires are good or not and why they are inexpensive, you need to tell about the manufacturer. The tires are manufactured by Shandong Linglong Tire Co., Ltd. Until recently, the company focused on the production of car tires for the Asian market. Now, focusing on the Western consumer, the Chinese manufacturer is forced to present their products in the most attractive light. And, probably, nothing attracts buyers like an affordable price.
This is why Atlas Paraller A / T tires are not as expensive as you might expect from an all-season rubber with very attractive handling characteristics. Cheaper than these tires, you can buy only generally rootless Chinese tires or used tires. But what about the workmanship of these tires?
The manufacturer claims that in the production of tires presented in the Paraller model line, the most modern and progressive technologies and very high quality materials are used. This Chinese manufacturer does not overuse copying popular tires from better known brands. No Paraller A / T - these are the original tires, originally designed and created taking into account the consumer needs of the Western buyer.
Strict quality control is implemented at every production stage in the manufacture of these tires. Therefore, it is almost impossible to buy tires from the Paraller model line with a factory defect. Again, the manufacturer had a warranty of up to 45,000 miles at the time these tires were launched on the market. Agree, this is clear proof that the tires are of high quality and reliable!
About driving characteristics
As already mentioned, unlike Paraller M / T, the model with the A / T index is characterized by a less pronounced vice-rector. The drawing is practically the same, and the height does not exceed 13 mm. As a result, the tread on the Paraller A / T model turned out to be universal, since these tires ride equally well on city streets with good asphalt surfaces, and on country dirt and gravel roads.
But on soggy soil, these tires will not go as well as a model with an M / T index, since there are no large lugs and slippage is possible. Well, it's not for nothing that the manufacturer directly points out that Paraller A / T is not off-road, but just universal rubber for light trucks, and it copes with its main task. By the way, when the truck is loaded, the adhesion of the tires to the ground improves and in this case it is quite possible to drive through the mud without fear of slipping.
On the asphalt, the tires do not cause any complaints. They ride equally well on dry and wet roads, as the tread perfectly wicks moisture over the entire area of the tire spot and road surface. The braking distance on dry land is short, but on wet surfaces it increases predictably. The acceleration dynamics of the Paraller A / T is significantly better than that of the similar model M / T, which is again due to the lower tread height and, as a result, lower rolling resistance.
An important advantage of the Paraller A / T is directional stability. The tire does not drift to the side and you do not have to constantly steer, aligning the direction of the car (the statement is true provided that everything is in order with the chassis of the car!).
All-season and all-weather
The Paraller A / T are good tires, but like all all-season tires, they're not perfect. Immediately on the shortcomings - in the ice, these tires make the car uncontrollable. Therefore, if ice on the roads is a traditional situation for the region where the car is supposed to be used, we recommend choosing a set of winter studded tires or at least buy in addition to Paraller A / T a set of anti-traction chains slip.
Otherwise, these tires are truly all-season and all-weather. Thanks to the effective rubber composition, the tire does not soften in summer, as it does with other all-season tires. As a result, the tires run well in the heat and do not wear off as quickly as is expected from all-season tires. But these tires show their best qualities on wet roads. Even when overcoming large puddles at speeds over 60 km / h, the aquaplaning effect is not observed at all.
Appreciate your safety and driving comfort - Paraller A / T tires guarantee both!
Let's summarize. The optimal operating conditions for Paraller A / T are the temperature range from 77 to 23F. If the car is supposed to be operated within these temperatures, feel free to buy these tires.
Durability and reliability at a glance
The Paraller A / T has a maximum payload of 900 kg. This performance is similar to the service loads indicated for most commercial vehicle tires. Therefore, such tires can be installed both on your pickup truck, as well as on a truck used to deliver goods and other equally popular goods.
Taking into account the peculiarities of the operation of light trucks, the manufacturer has strengthened the design of the tires as much as possible. For example, these tires use a radial casing, which is considered a classic proven solution. However, as it was said, Paraller A / T is a technological tire, and therefore the radial carcass used in the construction is combined - woven from polymer and metal belts. As a result, the tires were made as strong as possible without making them heavier.
To protect the tires from mechanical damage, the central rib in them was reinforced with longitudinal metal belts. Thanks to this, the Paraller A / T tires withstand numerous collisions with various obstacles such as curbs or speed bumps. Another advantage of this solution is that the tire with its central rib evenly adheres to the road surface over the entire area of the contact patch. The tread wears off evenly and therefore remains intact for longer.
As a result, these Chinese tires, despite their low cost, will run about as much as budget European or Japanese tires, providing approximately the same driving performance. At the same time, Paraller A / T will still cost less than similar budget tires from more famous brands.
