Apollo Tires, India, has unveiled the new Apollo Amazer XP summer passenger car tires with reduced rolling resistance and reduced noise levels, including for electric vehicles.

Apollo Tires has unveiled the new Amazer XP (Xtra Performance) luxury eco-tire that meets India's BS-VI emissions standard and electric vehicle specifications. Targeted at the fast-growing eco-friendly and fuel-efficient passenger car segment, the new product offers the lowest rolling resistance in its class, delivering superior ride comfort and a quiet ride without sacrificing durability.

According to the manufacturer, Apollo Amazer XP was designed and developed by a joint team of specialists from two global Apollo Tires R&D centers in Enschede, Netherlands and Chennai, India, and its production is located at the company's Indian factories in Oragadam (Tamil Nadu state) and Limda (Gujarat state). ...

“The Apollo Amazer XP is the next generation of fuel-efficient tires for the age of electricity. This eco-friendly tire is another small contribution of our company to a greener and more sustainable future, ”said Satish Sharma, President of Apollo Tires APMEA Region, while introducing the new product. “The number of OE homologations we have received in a short period of time for these tires is a testament to their superior performance. With these tires, we want to dominate the Indian electric passenger car tire market. ”

Apollo Amazer XP tires are suitable for most modern hatchback and sedan models. With this model, the company expects to meet the needs of the Indian market for environmentally friendly fuel-efficient tires by supplying approximately 2 million tires per month. Apollo Tires is currently launching the Amazer XP in seven sizes for 12-inch and 14-inch wheels, with five more coming soon.

Amazer XP was developed in two research and development centers of the company - in Enschede (Netherlands) and Chennai (India), and production will take place in factories in the Indian states of Tamil Nadu and Gujarat.

The reduction in rolling resistance is provided by a new rubber compound, while the optimized tread groove arrangement is designed to improve ride comfort and reduce noise levels.

“The Apollo Amazer XP is a new generation of fuel-efficient tires designed for electric vehicles and designed to meet BSVI [Bharat Stage VI Emissions Requirements India April 1, 2020]. The new eco-tire will allow us to make another small contribution to creating a greener future, and the number of homologations completed in a very short time indicates a high level of performance. With the new tires, we are already poised to become the leader in the electric car tire market in India, ”said Satish Sharma, President of Apollo APMEA (Asia Pacific, Middle East, and Africa).
